Holly Madison was Hugh Hefner's No. 1 girlfriend when "Girls Next Door" started — a coveted role considering the Playboy founder always dated a bevy of beauties at once.
Since she had held that role in his life since February 2002, Holly often talked about marrying and starting a family with Hugh. That never came to pass, and by 2008 — a year before the final season premiered — they'd split.
So where is Holly today?

Holly Madison stayed busy after parting ways with Hugh Hefner and the Playboy Mansion. The model, who dated illusionist Criss Angel and rocker Benji Madden after Hugh Hefner, starred on her own reality show, "Holly's World" — which chronicled her time starring in the burlesque-themed "Peepshow" in Las Vegas — from 2009 until 2011.
Following her Las Vegas run, Holly welcomed her first child with then-boyfriend Pasquale Rotella in 2013 — daughter Rainbow — and married Pasquale six months later. She penned her first memoir, "Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny," in 2015. Son Forrest joined the family in 2016 — the same year Holly released memoir No. 2, "The Vegas Diaries: Romance, Rolling the Dice and the Road to Reinvention." Holly and Pasquale split in 2018. She went on to date All Time Low guitarist Jack Barakat and "Ghost Adventures" star Zak Bagans.
Holly has since opened up about the unpleasant side of living with Hugh. On the 2022 docuseries "Secrets of Playboy," Holly revealed that her experience in the mansion was "cult-like" and involved Hugh offering her drugs and encouraging copious amounts of drinking.
She started a "Girls Next Door" re-watch podcast called "Girls Next Level" with co-star Bridget Marquardt in 2023.

After hanging up her bunny ears, Bridget Marquardt moved on to another animal-related gig as the host of Yahoo's "Animal Nation" series in 2012. She then ventured into podcasting and hosted "Ghost Magnet with Bridget Marquardt" beginning in 2019. In 2023, she teamed up with former co-star Holly Madison for the "Girls Next Door" re-watch podcast "Girls Next Level." She also appeared on the 2022 docuseries "Secrets of Playboy" and shared stories of how cruel Hugh Hefner had been to Holly, his No. 1 girlfriend during their time in the Playboy Mansion.
As for her personal life, Bridget has been engaged to director Nicholas Carpenter since 2015.

Kendra Wilkinson moved into the Playboy Mansion in 2004 — a year before "Girls Next Door" started. The model considered herself a tomboy and was vocal about her love of sports and hobbies that didn't fit in with most of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends' interests.

Kendra Wilkinson moved out of the Playboy mansion in 2009 after meeting NFL player Hank Baskett, whom she married the same year. They starred in various reality shows over the tears starting with E!'s "Kendra" from 2009 until 2011 during which they chronicled their marriage and the birth of their first child, son Hank IV. Kendra penned a memoir, "Sliding Into Home," in 2010. After "Kendra," the family moved their reality series to WE tv — they starred on "Kendra on Top" from 2012 until 2017. Kendra and Hank split in 2018 after years of trying to work through issues including a 2014 cheating scandal that emerged when she was pregnant with their second child, daughter Alijah.
Her most recent reality series captured a new phase of her life: "Kendra Sells Hollywood" — which debuted on Discovery+ in 2021 and premiered its second season on Max in 2023 — showcases Kendra's new gig as a real estate agent.

After season 5 of "Girls Next Door" — though they were still under contract — original stars Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson largely stepped away from the series. That set the stage for Hugh Hefner's new girlfriend, Crystal Harris, to star. This iteration of the show, which still featured a few cameos from the original ladies, only lasted one season.
Keep reading to find out what happened to Crystal…

Crystal Harris married Hugh Hefner, becoming his third wife, in 2012 following a lengthy engagement that included a temporary split. Crystal and Hugh were wed until his death at 91 in 2017.
Crystal, who's opened up about experiencing breast implant illness in the wake of her days as a Playboy model, in 2023 began teasing some of the juicy and troubling tidbits she's writing about in her 2024 memoir, "Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself."

Kristina Shannon and Karissa Shannon were 19-year-old twins who moved into the Playboy Mansion in 2008 — the same year the sixth and final season of "Girls Next Door" debuted.
_
Twins Kristina Shannon and Karissa Shannon only lived in the Playboy Mansion for a short time — they moved out in 2010 before "Girls Next Door" had even finished airing.
The show introduced them to Hollywood, resulting in rumors of Karissa starring in sex tapes with celebrities like Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, and with her then-boyfriend, Sam Jones III. She and sister Kristina appeared on more reality series like Britain's "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2012, where they came in fifth, and an episode of "Botched" in 2015.
The twins transitioned to the adult industry in 2018. As of 2023, it appeared that Kristina had joined OnlyFans while Karissa had left social media completely. In 2022, both sisters opened up to the Mirror, echoing Holly Madison's claims that the mansion was like a "cult" filled with drugs and alcohol. They also revealed that Karissa had an abortion after becoming pregnant with Hugh Hefner's child. They appeared on the docuseries "Secrets of Playboy" in 2022 like many of their former co-stars.
