Following other celeb offspring like Dakota Johnson, Sosie Bacon, and Rumer Willis, Kelsey Grammer's daughter, Greer Grammer, will assist in handing out awards as Miss Golden Globe 2015 at the 72nd annual Globes on Jan. 11.
Not just a pretty face with a famous name, the 22-year-old gained her degree in theater from the University of Southern California in May of 2014. She's played Lisa on the MTV show "Awkward" since 2011, and appeared in the film "Life Partners" in 2014.
But despite growing up in a famous household, Greer says she's "terrified" to hit the Globes on Sunday.
"I'm so nervous," the actress tells Wonderwall.com, adding that she "screamed and squealed and jumped up and down" when she learned the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had named her Miss Golden Globe 2015.
Still, she was able to keep her new post a secret from her parents, Kelsey Grammer and Barrie Buckner, who she knew would spill the beans before her gig could be announced. "If anyone found out beforehand I would be disqualified," she adds.
"[My dad] would have gone on and blabbed," she giggles. "I think he was a little offended. He asked how long I'd known. I was like 'I found out last week.' He was like 'Oh, that would have been nice to know.' But he's so proud and excited."
Though her beauty pageant past (she was named Miss Teen Malibu) helped her prep for the Globes stage -- "I know how to walk in heels on stage for hours!" she boasts -- there's one thing she feels she'll never be ready for: meeting her favorite celeb Reese Witherspoon.
"I love her. I love her work, fashion sense. I want to be her!" gushed Greer. "I might lose my cool a little bit."
