"It's a great day to be me, because I am not Donald Trump. That guy has problems," Stephen Colbert said in his monologue."First of all, the Jeffrey Epstein scandal," Colbert said before looking into the camera, "just won't kill itself."
Epstein reportedly died in prison, but there has been speculation about whether or not he was murdered while incarcerated. However, the Department of Justice claimed there was no evidence to support the theory that Epstein was killed.

Along with the Department of Justice's statement, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson adjourned Congress until September, which will delay congressional voting on releasing the existing Jeffrey Epstein files."That is a suspiciously Herculean effort," Stephen Colbert quipped, before highlighting Johnson's decision.

The comedian shared he doesn't blame "Trump allies for being scared here, because the more we know about Trump's relationship with Epstein, the more we wish we didn't.""According to court records. Trump flew on Epstein's plane at least seven times," Stephen Colbert added. "Now that doesn't mean he did anything illegal, but it's not a great look whether you fly on the pedophile's plane enough times to earn Diamond Pervert Status."

Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice were criticized after they shared there was no evidence that Jeffrey Epstein kept a "client list," as the attorney general previously claimed she had the explosive file on her desk."The attorney general has handled that very well. She's really done a very good job, and I think that when you look at that, you'll understand it," Donald Trump said to journalists at the White House, adding that "credibility is very important."

During a press conference with Pam Bondi, Donald Trump shut down questions about Jeffrey Epstein."Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy's been talked about for years," Trump said. "Are people still talking about this guy? This creep? That is unbelievable."
