Princess Anne is gearing up to celebrate her 75th birthday on Friday, August 15, and while the royal family acknowledged the milestone early, the Princess Royal isn't interested in having an extravagant celebration.

According to royal commentator Roya Nikkhah, Princess Anne has a "no-frills" policy for her birthday. "I will do things for my birthdays that have a zero, but I won't do things for my birthdays that have a five," Roya said of Anne's way of thinking on an episode of her "The Royals with Roya and Kate" podcast.

Princess Anne will be celebrating her next milestone birthday in 2030 when she turns 80. Roya Nikkhah shared that Anne is expected to begin taking a step back from her royal duties after that. "I was told that she's told her team: 'I'm going to start winding down a little bit at 80, in five years' time, and then I want to step back completely at 90,'" Nikkhah shared.

Princess Anne is known for being the hardest-working member of the royal family, as she has attended the most official engagements over the past few years. While the princess continues to be celebrated for her work, the final stage of her royal career is drawing comparisons to her late father Prince Philip's. "I thought the timeline … was interesting — that she's looking at her father, the late Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, who stepped back from public life completely at 96," Roya Nikkhah said.

a slideshow of photos and fun facts about the birthday girl. "Known for having one of the busiest working schedules of any member of the Royal Family, The Princess has established significant and ongoing relationships with numerous charities and organizations across the Commonwealth," one slide read.
