During
Taylor Swift's U.K. leg of her blockbuster tour in 2024,
Prince William brought his children
Prince George and
Princess Charlotte to the show. However, when meeting backstage, Jason Kelce seemed unsure of proper royal protocol.
"Wasn't this the week I got to watch Jason meet the royal family?" the "Karma" singer asked Jason and Travis Kelce.
"He was like, 'What do I do with my beer?'" the
Catching Kelce alum said.
"I watched him have this moment with his beer where he was like, 'But I want to take it, but I know that I probably should not take it,'" Taylor recalled. "I watched this happen and it kind of was the most amazing…"
The former Philadelphia Eagles player interjected, saying, "I like that you picked up on it because that was exactly what was going through my head."
"Like if I don't have my beer, what do I do with my hand now?" the music icon said as she mimicked Jason.
"Is it disrespectful to have a beer when you meet royalty?" the father of four questioned.
"Yeah, or is it authentic by having the beer? I would normally have the beer, wouldn't they want me to be myself? I'm watching you say that in your head," Taylor added. "It was fantastic."

Despite any awkwardness,
Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte appeared to have the time of their lives at
Taylor Swift's Wembley Stadium concert.
Following the "London Boy" singer's set, she took time to meet with the trio backstage, where they all snapped a photo with Travis Kelce and the performer.
The Prince of Wales even went
viral thanks to his dance moves during Taylor's smash hit "Shake It Off."

According to insiders, the royals have been longtime admirers of
Taylor Swift. However, Princess Charlotte may be the biggest Swiftie of the bunch. With
Kate Middleton navigating cancer last year, the chart-topper's tour was the perfect way to get the kiddos' mind off of the family's hurdle and ring in
Prince William's birthday.
"Princess Charlotte is the huge
Taylor Swift fan in the family," a
source spilled. "She has wanted to go to the concert for months, but with her mum [Kate]being treated for cancer, this was a really special day to be able to celebrate her papa's birthday like this. Charlotte absolutely loved it."
