No. 1: A tribute to an iconic sitcom
Reba McEntire teamed up with Little Big Town singers Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman to honor the 40th anniversary of The Golden Girls by performing the series' opening theme song on a set resembling the kitchen from the iconic sitcom. The trio then presented the award for best supporting actress in a comedy series.
No. 2: A 'Gilmore Girls' reunion
Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham had a Gilmore Girls reunion to present the Emmy for best writing for a comedy series. The duo recognized the beloved dramedy's 25th anniversary, joking that it "took the season of fall hostage" and "had no money" while exerting its "autumnal dominance."
No. 3: 'Law & Order' superstars unite
Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Meloni, Ice-T, Tony Goldwyn and S. Epatha Merkerson – the "Law & Order dream team" — united to present the award for best drama series… after first heaping praise on Hargitay and her on-screen alter ego, Olivia Benson, in an awkward bit they dubbed "the Mariska lifetime achievement roast." The team-up recognized the 35th anniversary of the original Law & Order this year.
No. 4: An 'Everybody Loves Raymond' reunion
Ray Romano and Brad Garrett marked 20 years since the finale of Everybody Loves Raymond aired by reuniting to present the award for best comedy series. The twosome delivered a hilarious bit during which Garrett joked about how little he's accomplished in the last two decades compared to Romano. It culminated in Garrett asking his more successful costar if he'd even make the Emmys' "In Memoriam" segment when the time comes.
No. 5: Forgotten costars together again
Kathy Bates and Alan Cumming may seem like a random pairing, but the duo actually costarred in ABC's 1999 made-for-TV adaptation of the Broadway musical Annie. Bates scored an Emmy nomination for her work as Miss Hannigan; Cumming went without recognition for his performance as Rooster – a fact Bates gamely pointed out as they presented the award for best writing for a variety series, prompting her former costar to highlight that he won during the 2025 Emmys while she did not.
No. 6: An 'American Horror Story' plea
Original American Horror Story costars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters reunited to present the award for best limited or anthology series. During one of the evening's funniest moments, Paulson ribbed Peters about calling his agent to get the ball rolling on Season 13 of AHS, which is currently in development. The duo last costarred on Season 10 in 2021.
