Meghan Markle always tried to get along with all the royals, but the person she found most difficult was Queen Camilla. While King Charles III runs the U.K., it's his wife who truly rules the roost. The rumored feud with Queen Camilla escalated when Meghan and Prince Harry decided to step back from their roles as working royals.
A source at the time said, "I don't think the Queen Camilla will ever forgive Meghan for what she's done."

According to Closer, the spotlight returned following Prince Harry's 2023 memoir, Spare, in which he admitted that he and Prince William had "begged" their father not to marry Camilla, even comparing her to an "evil stepmother.""And with speculation continuing to swirl that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be set to return to the U.K.; we're told that a lot of feathers are set to be ruffled."
An insider revealed, "Meghan is willing to be conciliatory and take the high road with a lot of people, but Queen Camilla is a different story. Meghan made a real effort with Queen Camilla back when she was still living in the U.K., but she's way past playing nice and kissing up to her, she has seen that gets her nowhere."

Meanwhile, the source said Queen Camilla's alleged disdain has "scored huge points with Prince William," but may have caused more friction regarding King Charles' hope for peace in the family."Despite everything that's happened, King Charles has not turned his back on Meghan. The more time goes by, the more empathy he seems to feel for her," the insider continued.
