According to royal expert
Richard Fitzwilliams, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are staying out of the public eye for the time being. "They won't [do an interview] as more information is coming out most recently details of their visit to Florida with Sarah Ferguson when Jeffrey Epstein had just come out of prison and was under house arrest," he told
Daily Express. "There are also rumors about them having dealings in the Middle East. Their parents are in disgrace and their father [Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor] could face charges from the police."

Before Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie speak out, they must ensure they don't sound like hypocrites. "A double interview would only feed what is becoming a frenzy with so much more to come out," Richard Fitzwilliams said.

When the U.S. Department of Justice released additional files related to Jeffrey Epstein, a 2009 message from the financier to Ghislaine Maxwell read, "Ferg [Sarah Ferguson] and the two girls [likely Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie] come yesterday." The day prior, the former Duchess of York sent a memo to Epstein asking, "What address shall we come to. It will be myself, Beatrice and Eugenie. Are we having lunch?"

In an August 3, 2009, email from Sarah Ferguson to Jeffrey Epstein, she wrote, "I have never been more touched by a friend's kindness than your compliment to me in front of my girls [Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie]. Thank you, Jeffrey, for being the brother I have always wished for."

Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor were stripped of their titles and evicted from Royal Lodge over their proximity to Jeffrey Epstein. Now the former Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly giving information to the criminal while serving as the U.K.'s trade envoy.

Despite the stress their parents' actions have put them under, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are staying tight-lipped. "Bea and Eugenie have had some extraordinary offers to tell their story, from
Oprah Winfrey to exclusive Netflix deals, and they know it's something they will have to address at some point," a source told
Women's Day. "It's increasingly important for them to clear their names, but they're still not ready to bad-mouth their parents on TV, especially Beatrice — it's just not in their nature."
