Halloween is right around the corner and along with promises of ghostly ghouls and enough candy to cause major cavities, we get to see our favorite celebrities dressed up in some of the coolest costumes around. Join Wonderwall.com as we celebrate the fun and scary season by ranking our favorite costumed stars from the okay-est get-up to the most spook-tacular look of all. Let's start here, with our 30th spot (and the cutest mother-son costume) going to Marlee Matlin and son Brandon Grandalski, who dressed up as Mary Poppins and a chimney sweep in 2005. Now, keep reading to see who made it to our No. 1 spot…

No. 29: Danny Masterson and Wilmer Valderrama as Ponch and Jon from "CHiPs"
This is an oldie but a goodie! In 2002, "That '70s Show" co-stars Danny Masterson and Wilmer Valderrama dressed up as Ponch and Jon from "CHiPs."

No. 28: Paris Hilton as Miley Cyrus
In 2013, Paris Hilton decided to dress up like the year's most notorious celebrity: Miley Cyrus. Paris rocked a fuzzy gray mouse leotard just like the one the pop singer donned during the first half of her jaw-dropping performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards and we have to say, the resemblance was uncanny.

No. 27: Heidi Klum as the werewolf from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video
Heidi Klum always kills it when it comes to her Halloween costume. In fact, the supermodel usually spends months prepping to make sure her costume is as jaw-dropping as possible. In 2017, she was completely unrecognizable thanks to the mask, makeup and hands that turned her into the werewolf from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video.
No. 26: Keke Palmer as Selena Quintanilla
All we can say about Keke Palmer's sexy 2016 Halloween look is "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom." Selena Quintanilla would have been proud of this costume.
No. 25: Ryan Phillippe as Obi-Wan Kenobi
It's clear the force was with Ryan Phillippe when he wore this "Star Wars"-inspired Halloween costume in 2016. But let's be honest, aside from the airy hood and light saber, Ryan could be any hot guy walking down the street.
No. 24: Serena Williams as an '80s workout instructor
There's a chance tennis champ Serena Williams wasn't, in fact, going for a Jane Fonda-esque '80s workout look, but the gym bag leads us to think otherwise. No matter what her 2016 Halloween costume inspiration actually was, Serena looked like she was ready to flash dance the night away.
No. 23: Mario Lopez as a cowboy
We're not sure if TV host Mario Lopez was trying to invoke the spirit of "Toy Story" with a Woody-esque costume or if his giddy-up look was more of a whimsical Clint Eastwood a la "Outlaw" ode, but either way, we love it (and kind of want to pet his horse).
No. 22: Demi Lovato as a trap queen
Demi Lovato's 2015 Halloween costume was the coolest thing ever. For those uninitiated in slang, a "trap queen" is a loyal, street-smart and resourceful woman who knows how to hold it down, no matter the situation. Demi took the look one step further by adding a glittery tiara and sash. Pure, punny brilliance.
No. 21: Nina Dobrev as Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte
Nina Dobrev and pal Lane Cheek stirred the scandal pot at Matthew Morrison's annual Halloween birthday party in 2016 where they flexed their muscles as disgraced (at the time) Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.
No. 20: Victoria Justice as a sexy Beetlejuice
Actress and singer Victoria Justice made us say "Beetlejuice" three times in 2016 with this far hotter interpretation of the infamous creepy character. Maybe a sexy movie reboot is next?
No. 19: LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian as Madonna and George Michael
LeAnn Rimes and hubby Eddie Cibrian rocked Halloween 2016 with these 1980s Madonna and George Michael looks. While no one can ever top the originals, LeAnn and Eddie came wickedly close.
No. 18: Michelle Trachtenberg as a secret garden
Actress Michelle Trachtenberg looked like flowers in the moonlight in her super-creative 2016 Halloween costume: She went as a secret garden. We especially dig her shimmery foliage-colored hair.
No. 17: Trevor Noah as Prince Akeem
He never fails to make us laugh and Halloween 2016 was no exception for "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah. This South Africa-born comedian knows all too well what immigrating to the U.S. feels like, which makes his Prince Akeem from "Coming to America" costume part awesome and part true story.
No. 16: La La Anthony as a zombie bride
Even as a bride of the walking dead, author and actress La La Anthony still looked prettier than most on their wedding day. Obviously her zombie curves don't quit.
No. 15: Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tasha McCauley as bloody country singers
We're not exactly sure who Joseph Gordon-Levitt and wife Tasha McCauley were dressed as for Halloween 2016 (our guess: Johnny and June Cash-turned-serial killers?) but they were bloody good-looking together. The couple wore these getups when they performed at Seth Rogen's "Hilarity for Charity" Halloween benefit.
No. 14: Rihanna as a sexy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle
Even as a reptile from the sewers of New York City, Rihanna looked like she'd stepped off the pages of a fashion magazine during Halloween 2014 when she went as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
No. 13: Kim Kardashian West as Wonder Woman
Long before Gal Gadot ruled the silver screen as Diana Prince and her alter ego, our favorite reality TV queen, Kim Kardashian West, was giving props to Wonder Woman. Kim wore this fabulously fitted superhero look to a Halloween bash she hosted in 2008.
No. 12: Martha Stewart as a zombie nurse
Martha Stewart looked positively terrifying as a zombie nurse for Halloween 2016. She definitely raised our blood pressure with this scary costume.
No. 11: Seth MacFarlane as Oscar the Grouch
Comedian Seth MacFarlane took Halloween 2016 all the way back to pre-K with this "Sesame Street"-inspired costume: He was our favorite dumpster diver, Oscar the Grouch. We can almost hear Stewie Griffin in the background complaining about the trash can smell.
No. 10: Hoda Kotb as Blake Shelton and Al Roker as Willie Nelson
Leave it to "Today" hosts Hoda Kotb and Al Roker to kill it in the costume department! Hoda donned her best wig, flannel and leather duds to be Blake Shelton while Al rocked braids, tie dye and a bandana on his head to be the esteemed Willie Nelson. They nailed it, don't you think?
No. 9: Bette Midler as Winifred Sanderson from "Hocus Pocus"
All hail the queen! Singer and actress Bette Midler brought her "Hocus Pocus" character, Winifred the witch, back to life for a Halloween party in New York City in 2016. Winnie must be using some super-secret anti-aging potions because she doesn't look a day over 600.
No. 8: Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon as cookies and milk
Remember when Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were newlyweds and so in love? This adorable 2008 Halloween picture of the couple dressed as cookies and milk is giving us some major feels. Sadly, they finalized their divorce in 2016, meaning we'll never get to see them as another amazing food combination: grilled cheese and tomato soup.
No. 7: Cindy Crawford, Kaia Gerber and family as '80s punk rockers
We nominate the Gerber family — dad Rande Gerber, mom Cindy Crawford, son Presley Gerber and daughter Kaia Gerber — as the most radical, man. Their '80s punk look for Halloween 2016 could strangely work as an everyday look in 2018. Being fashionable obviously runs in the family.
No. 6: Seth Rogen and Lauren Miller as Mario and Luigi
Funnyman Seth Rogen and his actress-screenwriter wife, Lauren Miller, killed the Halloween game when they arrived at the 2016 benefit gala they hosted, "Hilarity for Charity," dressed as our favorite Nintendo legends, Mario and Luigi. Whether or not they worked together to rescue the princess, however, remains a mystery.
No. 5: Skylar Astin and Anna Camp as Wayne and Garth from "Wayne's World"
Add this to the list of reasons we love Skylar Astin and Anna Camp as a couple! For their 2017 Halloween costume, the married cuties dressed up as Wayne and Garth from "Wayne's World." From the costumes to the wigs to the drum sticks, everything was simply perfection!
No. 4: Jimmy Kimmel as Thor
We already know late-night talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel is funny and scary-smart, but it wasn't until Halloween 2009 that we realized he was also a major hottie. The blond hair, well-developed muscles and crown of Asgard only made our affections for Jimmy stronger.
No. 3: Beyoncé as Storm from "X-Men"
We're so thankful comedian Jeff Dye took this Halloween 2015 selfie with Beyoncé looking all mutant-y and hot as Storm from "X-Men" (famously played by actress Halle Berry in the movie franchise). Seriously though, Queen Bey looks like she's about to take over the world and we're just waiting for our chance to bow down.
No. 2: Heidi Klum as Jessica Rabbit and Gigi Hadid as Sandy from "Grease"
It's a tie! We couldn't even tell that was supermodel Heidi Klum looking all kinds of fly as Jessica Rabbit (from the '80s movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"). Heidi's costume savagery at her annual Halloween bash in 2015 was only made fiercer when she posed alongside then-up-and-coming supermodel Gigi Hadid, who was working the character Sandy from "Grease" right beside her.
No. 1: Chrissy Teigen and John Legend as Cleopatra and Julius Caesar
Ding ding ding! We have our winner: The couple that gives us all relationship goals, Chrissy Teigen and hubby John Legend, have a long and proud history of turning out amazing matching Halloween costumes. None are as perfect, though, as their 2010 look as the sexy ruler of Egypt, Cleopatra, and her hunky Roman general lover, Julius Caesar.
