In a promotional video for As Ever, Meghan Markle showed how to make a "really cozy warm beverage that everyone can enjoy" with boiled water. However, the advertisement confused critics.
"If I'm not mistaken,
Meghan Markle just made mulled water? Wouldn't you add the spices to apple cider? Or wine? Not WATER?" one person wrote on X.

"Meghan Markle is now trying to show us how to make a hot toddy, but really it's just tea flavored water boiling on the stove…. how revolutionary," another said.

"Looks like she was making a spicy tea because she has no idea of what she is really doing," someone penned. "Madame Fake-It-Till-You-Make-It-Montecito."

Meghan Markle's post celebrated the launch of As Ever's holiday collection and her new Spiced Cider Mulling Spice Kit, which includes lemongrass, cinnamon, lemon peel and ginger root.
