According to publicist Mark Borkowski, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won't be having the red carpet rolled out for them as they did five years ago."They have shot the golden goose of 2020 — more of a 'we'll call you' than 'here's the checkbook.' It's a first-look deal, which means Netflix gets first dibs but no obligation to bankroll every semi-royal whim," he explained. "I reckon Netflix is trimming fat industry-wide, so this is less carte blanche, more curated cameo. They're still in business together, Meghan's. As ever, brand and seasonal specials keep them in the Netflix shop window, but make no mistake, this is a slimmed-down sequel to the blockbuster original. So Harry and Meghan's new Netflix chapter [is] less champagne budget, more prosecco by the glass."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will also allegedly receive lower pay after multiple projects from their first deal failed to rake in massive viewership."It's not much. It's no risk for Netflix but saves them both reputationally," a separate insider alleged of the amount, which has yet to be revealed.
While the duo's 2022 documentary Harry & Meghan became one of the streamer's most popular titles, their other titles, such as Polo and With Love, Meghan, did not fare as well with audiences.

After Meghan Markle announced she and Prince Harry would be furthering their partnership with Netflix, people behind the scenes still seem excited to have them at the company."Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere," Netflix's Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria raved about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's return. "The response to their work speaks for itself — Harry & Meghan gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series. More recently, fans have been inspired by With Love, Meghan, with products from the new As ever line consistently selling out in record time. We're excited to continue our partnership with Archewell Productions and to entertain our members together."

In the months leading up to the renewed agreement between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Netflix, there was rampant speculation that the collaboration was over after their original deal ended."This deal is dead. She had everything going for her — name, platform, press — and the numbers were dismal," an insider alleged. "They're just waiting for the credits to roll. They're letting it expire without drama. There's no appetite for anything new."
