Following Prince Harry's trip to England, where he spent time with King Charles III, the 41-year-old visited a rehabilitation center for adults and children affected by the war in Ukraine. During Harry's time there, he was asked if he stood by his controversial book Spare, in which he spilled the royal family's secrets."I know that speaking out annoys some people and it goes against the narrative," he made clear in an interview. "The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out, and it needed to be corrected. I don't believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear. It is not about revenge. It is about accountability."

While Prince Harry and King Charles III are reportedly trying to move forward in their relationship, royal correspondent Jennie Bond thinks the former military veteran's defense of the tell-all could become a problem with his relatives."To have been drawn into commenting on whether he had any regrets about his book was naive," the journalist explained in an interview. "He just can't seem to stop himself from doubling down on his grievances. To be tempted into asserting that his conscience was clear about all that he had said in his book and that there 'cannot be reconciliation before you have truth' was asking for trouble. The comment may well have set alarm bells ringing at the palace."

Despite the hiccup, another royal expert claimed that King Charles III is eager to move past any drama with Prince Harry, provided he can "keep his mouth shut.""It's no secret that Charles desperately misses his prodigal son," writer Tina Brown pointed out in an interview. "Charles knows that in these times of ugly political discord, a fractured royal family is a bad look. But the meeting was also the fulfillment of paternal longing."
