While Kate was speaking to a curator, William noticed his uncle
Prince Edward arriving.
Before the Duke of Edinburgh made his entrance, the Prince of Wales tapped his wife's back to signal for the Princess of Wales to wrap up her conversation.

Prince William subtly gestured for Kate Middleton to move, the couple said "thank you" to the curator.

Kate Middleton has a reputation for being talkative at official gatherings, which is why
Prince William has to signal to his wife to keep things moving.
"I think there is a real art to walkabouts. Everyone teases me in the family that I spend far too long chatting, so I think I've still got to learn a little bit more and pick up a few more tips, I suppose," Kate said in the
Queen at Ninety documentary.
