The Shortlist for June 5
Paris Hilton, Le Bonitas Ordered To Settle Lawsuits
Stepping out of a federal courthouse this week, Paris Hilton looked like she was stepping off a yacht in Monaco -- and not just because of her nautically-themed blue and white ensemble. "It's looking good. I'm happy as of today," she told reporters. The socialite and heiress was hashing out a lawsuit and counter-suit with Italian lingerie company, Le Bonitas, which she sued for $1.5 million for failing to promote the line that has her name attached to it. LeBonitas, meanwhile, counter-sued, claiming any lack of promotion was Hilton's fault. No word yet on the amount of the impending settlements, possibly because Paris seemed more interested in discussing her courtroom couture -- she happily volunteered that her Chanel shades were the perfect accompaniment to her navy Honey Bunch jacket and purse -- than the icky legal details.
