Governor Gavin Newsom didn't hold back after J.D. Vance's trip to the West Coast went viral.
"35% of Anaheim's residents are immigrants. Disneyland doesn't run without them. Enjoy their labor, @JDVance," Gavin's press office said on X.

On Gavin Newsom's own X account, the Democrat seemingly slammed J.D. Vance and the "One, Big Beautiful Bill" being passed, which is expected to cut various social services, including Medicaid and SNAP.
"J.D. is back in California. He won't take the time to debate and defend gutting our Medicaid system, taking away kids school meals, militarizing America's streets, or adding trillions to the debt. Instead, he's off to Disneyland," Gavin wrote. "Probably to detain Mickey Mouse at this rate."
In response, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller shut down the governor's comments.
"According to the Governor of California, no theme park has ever successfully operated in any time, city or place without mass migration," Stephen replied.

X users reacted to Gavin Newsom's response to J.D. Vance and his family taking a break in the sunny California city.
"Gavin is just rage-tweeting. He can't hide the failure he is and how California is a laughing stock that is is dependent on illegal aliens slave labor," one user wrote.
"He's allowed to take his kids on vacation," another stressed.

Some social media users noted how it doesn't make sense for J.D. Vance to take a break from his duties and debate Gavin Newsom, as they're not currently competing in an election.
"Debate you?? What makes you think you're worthy of a debate with the VP of the United States? You literally got destroyed in a debate with the Florida governor, and he's not half the debater that J.D. Vance is," one person defensively said. "It appears lately Gavin, that you're just a glutton for punishment!"

While J.D. Vance enjoyed his time with his family at Disneyland, Donald Trump attended the FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday, July 13.
"Trump has time for soccer. Vance has time for Disneyland," Gavin Newsom's press office said on X. "But neither has time to explain why nearly 5,000 troops are still deployed on American soil. Send the California National Guard home!"
The Trump administration sent the National Guard to California after ICE protests broke out in Los Angeles. The legal battle about the issue is ongoing.
