Kristi Noem is getting flack for caring about how she looks.
The Homeland Security Secretary took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday, February 20, to give an update on how President Donald Trump's mass deportations are going. However, social media users accused Noem of being too caught up with her vanity to help the country.

"We are getting child rapists and murderers like these scumbags off of American streets. We will hunt these illegal aliens down, lock them up and deport them," Noem wrote alongside a video where she showed the photos of the felons they've forced out of the country.
While some praised her, others were not as enthralled. "Does Kristi Noem ever not have ten lbs of makeup on?" one person questioned.

"Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has been distracted by curling her hair extensions, applying even more makeup and shopping for dangling earrings. She had an opportunity to seize the DHS and make changes that would improve its efficiency. Kristi missed out on that," another penned.
Despite the harsh remarks, the former governor of South Dakota is focusing on making America safer. "Tonight, I'm announcing a nationwide and international multimillion-dollar ad campaign warning illegal aliens to leave our country NOW or face deportation with the inability to return to the U.S.," she announced in a February 17 video.

The Northern State University has also found herself in a bit of controversy during her first few months on the job while defending Elon Musk's wide-ranging access to personal data.
During a Sunday, February 9, sit-down with CNN's Dana Bash, Noem was pressed by the journalist about people being weary of "government, particularly unelected people, having access to personal data."
"Well, we can't trust our government anymore," the Trump administration member declared.

"That's what I'm saying," Noem fought back. "It's that the American people now are saying that we have had our personal information shared."
