Honey Boo Boo is legally living under a different roof.
A Georgia judge has stripped Mama June Shannon's custody rights over daughter Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, multiple media outlets said this week. Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, Alana's 22-year-old sister, now has sole custody over the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star.

The Sun reported that June will be allowed to contact Alana, 16, by phone daily, and she will have to pay Pumpkin $800 per month in child support until Honey Boo Boo turns 18 years old.
Court documents show that June makes approximately $25,000 per month, depending on production and endorsements. But, when the custody petition was filed, June's reality TV show had "not been renewed for a new season," so her only "certain income is disability in the amount of $1,015.00 per month."
In reality, not much will change for Alana, as her sister was awarded temporary guardianship over Honey Boo Boo in August 2019, with the permission from her father, Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson. At the time, June had been arrested on drug possession charges with then-boyfriend Geno Doak, who the family disliked.
The news comes a few months after the "From Not to Hot" star secretly married Justin Stroud. Marriage records, unearthed this week, show the couple tied the knot on March 23 at the Wilkinson County Court.

June has reportedly been sober for more than two years now. In March 2021, she revealed that she and Geno were so deep into addiction that they spent close to $1 million on drugs. At the end of it, she had less than $2 in her bank account.
