Former Fox News star
Bill O'Reilly joined Chris Cuomo to
discuss Donald Trump's decision to support Israel in bombing Iran. However, the New York native had a lot to say about CNN's coverage of the conflict, claiming his former network in selling "hysteria for profit." Said Cuomo, whom CNN fired in December 2021, "I think that it's trying too hard to compete with these pod bros and people who sell hysteria for profit." While the host expressed his appreciation for the podcast format, he claimed they "don't have any of the assets or capabilities of getting things right or reporting or investigating the way real news agencies do. We just too often get caught in the propaganda game." O'Reilly agreed with Cuomo, citing CNN using anonymous sources "to try and diminish the bombing raid." Said O'Reilly, "They're in business to make Trump look bad." Cuomo went on to say that CNN is a "great place," but "when they're wrong, they're wrong."

A report published by CNN questioned Donald Trump's claims that the missile strikes "obliterated" key Iranian nuclear sites. The left-leaning news outlet cited an "early U.S. intelligence assessment" that Iran's push to develop nuclear weapons had only been set back by a few months.

Donald Trump condemned CNN and threatened to sue the network — along with other news outlets that questioned the outcome of the strikes — over the report: "I think it's been completely demolished," he said of Iran's enrichment program during an interview on the White House lawn. "And, you know, the fake news like CNN in particular, they're trying to say, 'Well, I agree that it was destroyed, but maybe not that destroyed.'"
