Senator Tim Kaine is attempting to present a resolution to prevent Donald Trump from joining forces with Israel to carry out attacks on Iran without approval from Congress.
"I am deeply concerned that the recent escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran could quickly pull the United States into another endless conflict," Kaine told NBC News.
According to NBC News, Chuck Schumer refrained from commenting on Kaine's efforts.
"I believe Congress and Senate Democrats, if necessary, will not hesitate to exercise our authority," Schumer said.

"What in the world does this mean @SenSchumer?" Khanna asked.
"This is why your numbers are toxic with our base," he wrote. "They want us to be the anti-war party again."
