In an X post, Shri Thanedar expressed his concerns about Donald Trump."I have introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump," Thanedar told followers. "When Trump ignores the Constitution, Congress, and the courts, he is not 'fighting for America.' He is tearing it down and endangering our democracy."
_
Shri Thanedar took issue with Donald Trump's decision to ignore a Supreme Court order to facilitate Kilmar Abrego Garcia's return to the U.S. after he was unjustly deported in an "administrative error.""Donald Trump has already done real damage to our democracy, but defying a unanimous 9-0 Supreme Court ruling, that has to be the one final straw," Thanedar said. "It's time we impeach Donald J. Trump."
"Article seven, tyrannical overreach," Thanedar continued. "Finally, and most importantly, he is attempting to consolidate unchecked power and erode the constitutional limits of the presidency."

Donald Trump has been compared to an authoritarian figure after seemingly undermining the judicial system."In this country, we have presidents, not kings. That's not just misconduct. It's impeachable misconduct," Shri Thanedar said.

Shri Thanedar urged his fellow members of Congress to stand with him, as Donald Trump's actions have been considered unconstitutional by critics."If we let this stand, we are saying the president is above the law. That the United States Constitution is optional," Thanedar said. "I won't be silent and I'm calling on all my colleagues, Democrats, Republicans and independents, to stand up with me."
"Enough is enough. Donald J. Trump must be impeached," he concluded.
