One Direction's Liam Payne Starts Twitter Feud With Empire State Building
Hell hath no fury like a boy-band member scorned. That's the lesson Liam Payne tried to teach the mean old Empire State Building this week -- until the Empire State Building, being a tough New Yorker, fought back. After visiting the New York landmark during One Direction's tour stop in the Big Apple, Payne was so miffed at the treatment he got there, he apparently lost his command of 6th grade-level spelling skills. "The senior security supervisor was arrogant, unproffesional and extreamly disrespectful to my family ... #TheresAlwaysTimeForManors," he tweeted on Tuesday.
As it turned out, the Empire State Building is used to dealing with flashes in the pan like Mr. Payne. Tweeting in reply, "@Real_Liam_Payne bad behavior not accepted at ESB," the building's Twitter account added, "No, our security does not know who you are, and does not care." Payne proceeded to put his teenaged musical tail between his legs and called the whole thing "a mix-up." (PopDust)
