Mariah Carey fires nannies who 'try to make themselves more important than me'
Attention, nannies to the stars: There's no career path in caring for Dem Babies. In between sips of bubbly and complaints about the lighting in the Power 105.6 radio station studio in New York on Wednesday morning, Mariah Carey gave a teensy peek at how she handles the help at chez Carey-Cannon.
"Unfortunately I have to have nannies but I'm very hands-on," the mother of twins Monroe and Moroccan announced. "I fire nannies like this," she added, snapping her fingers.
"And I hate doing it, but I have to because if they try to make themselves more important in the baby's mind than me …" And then, as her voice trailed off, she made the international sign for "off with their heads."
Funny, when she said, "hands on," we weren't envisioning Mariah's hands on the nannies' necks.
