Denise Richards Says Goodbye to One of Her Best Furry Friends
Sad times in the Richards household. Avowed animal lover Denise Richards is one family member short after the passing of her French bulldog over the weekend. "Last night we lost our beloved Hank," Richards tweeted on Monday. "I will miss him dearly, 13 yrs old … been there for me thru it all Best dog ever & part of our family." While the photo Richards shared of Hank is a heart-melter, there's still a bright side, pet-wise, for her daughters, Sam, 8, Lola, 7, and Eloise, 1: Their mom is super serious about rescuing dogs. The family has taken in a number of pets from shelters that would have otherwise been euthanized. Most recently, a visit to the North Shore Animal League introduced them to Lily, a black lab mix named Lily whom the girls "fell in love with," according to Richards, and who now lives with them. During his short but high-profile doggy life, the late Hank once appeared with Richards on the cover of Modern Dog magazine. R.I.P., little guy. (BING)
