After admitting that "protection was just thrown out the window" when she got pregnant shortly after giving birth to her first child, Jessica Simpson recently opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about how different the experience is this time around. "We were definitely extremely shocked," she told DeGeneres on Wednesday's episode of "Ellen." "Maxwell was our focus, and then I was puking and lying on the couch. Like with Maxwell, I felt amazing," Simpson continued. "Like, I could do everything, eat everything. Do whatever I wanted. I had a lot of energy. This time around … I'm like, exhausted, eating Tums. That's my snack of choice!"
Simpson and her fiance, Eric Johnson, are expecting their daughter, Maxwell's new sibling to arrive this summer. Although DeGeneres gave it the old college try, her guest refused to divulge the gender of the baby-to-be.
