Though Prince Andrew no longer works for the royal family, he still resides in his royal estate."I mean, he lives in Royal Lodge, he plays golf, watches TV, and presumably sees his grandchildren … he's living the life of a retired man," Andrew Lownie shared in his interview.
"What most annoys him is his lack of a royal status," Lownie alleged. "That's what really sort of gave him his whole sense of identity."

"And that's, you know, it's not being able to put on his uniforms and strut around and being self-important," Andrew Lownie noted, as the Duke of York has attended royal gatherings without his beloved uniform._
Over the years, Prince Andrew has been caught up in several scandals.Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre accused Prince Andrew of abuse, but the duke has denied the claims. However, Andrew and Giuffre settled their civil case in 2022, three years before her passing.
