Prince Andrew biographer
Andrew Lownie has withdrawn claims in his book,
Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, that the former model met her husband,
Donald Trump, through
Jeffrey Epstein. Lownie removed the allegation after
Hunter Biden made similar claims and was subsequently hit with the threat of a $1B lawsuit from the first lady.

During an interview with Andrew Callaghan, Hunted Biden addressed biographer Michael Wolff's claims that Melania Trump had ties to Jeffrey Epstein. Her lawyer, Alejandro Brito, subsequently demanded Biden "immediately retract the false, defamatory, disparaging and inflammatory statements made about Mrs. Trump." Brito went on to gripe that Biden's comments had been "re-published by various media outlets, journalists and political commentators with millions of social media followers that have disseminated the false and defamatory statements therein to tens of millions of people worldwide."

Alejandro Brito said that if Hunter Biden didn't issue an apology, Melania Trump would sue him for $1 billion to "recover the overwhelming financial and reputational harm that you have caused her to suffer."

Donald Trump encouraged Melania Trump to pursue legal action against Hunter Biden after he repeated Michael Wolff's claims about the first lady's alleged Jeffrey Epstein ties. The president told his wife to "go forward with" it, he said. "I told her, 'Let's go ahead and do it.' I let her use my lawyers," POTUS recalled. "Jeffrey Epstein had nothing to do with Melania and introducing. It was another person actually. … But it wasn't Jeffrey Epstein."
