King Charles III — who has been battling cancer for over a year — gave a rare update on his condition while meeting with fellow cancer patients at the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Birmingham.

King Charles III — who is still undergoing cancer treatment — chatted with Matthew Shinda, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer, about their health issues. "I've got what you've got," Shinda told Charles. "Last stage. I could go today, I could go tomorrow."

Matthew Shinda later commented on King Charles III's status. "It's nice to see that you're recovering well," Shinda said.
"I'm not too bad, thank you very much," Charles, who has not disclosed the specific type of cancer he's battling, shared.
Despite Charles' diagnosis, he continues to balance his treatment and royal duties.

King Charles III — who has been using his platform to advocate for cancer testing — has helped increase awareness about the disease. "Half the problem is detecting it, isn't it, in time," His Majesty shared.

King Charles III also noted how cancer research and treatment has advanced over the years.
"The great thing I think is they're getting better and better at dealing with these things," Charles told Shinda, who assured the king that the hospital is prioritizing his well-being. "The trouble is there's always hope down the road. I am sorry about that, it's so frustrating. We're probably about the same age are we?"
