In a video, Melania Trump is seen pausing her conversation with Queen Camilla to chat with Kate Middleton.
People reported that the queen consort later gestured her hands for the Princess of Wales to move away from the former model and toward
Prince William.

While at the state banquet, Donald Trump highlighted Kate Middleton in his speech, as the royal is currently in remission after battling cancer.
"Melania and I are delighted to visit with Prince William and to see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine. So radiant, so healthy and so beautiful," Trump said.

A spokesperson for Donald Trump shared that he was "thrilled" Kate Middleton would be "front and center" during his visit.
"The inclusion of Princess Kate in so many events during the state visit is an honour," the rep added.

The president also praised the Princess of Wales when he was first greeted by the mom-of-three and Prince William.
"You're beautiful, so beautiful," Trump declared.
