Prince Harry might be taking after his mom,
Princess Diana, but not in the way people might think.
The prince recently made headlines for accusing an unnamed source of working to "sabotage" his reconciliation with
King Charles III.

"After the latest lurid accusations that 'men in grey suits' are sabotaging the Prince, the harsh reality is clear: the only thing sabotaging Harry is his own self-perceived victimhood, a role he continues unhealthily to wallow in — and unforgivably monetize through his memoir, Spare," Amanda Platell wrote for the Daily Mail.

"How paranoid must Harry have felt then when it was reported that Buckingham Palace had been left 'saddened and perplexed,' increasingly 'bemused' and 'clearly not a little irritated' by Harry's 'wild, conspiracy theories,' unforgivably monetized through his memoir, Spare," Amanda Platell continued, accusing the ex-royal of inheriting her "least attractive quality."

King Charles III felt very "official" and formal, but the duke's team shut down the assertion.
A spokesperson for Harry called the report "categorically false," and later claimed the quotes attributed to him were a "pure invention fed, one can only assume, by sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son."

Though
Prince Harry has been a vocal critic of the British press, Amanda Platell noted that his mother, Princess Diana, understood how to navigate being in the spotlight.
"I can tell you as a former newspaper editor that Diana often called or met up incognito with her favorite journalists to make sure they reported her side of the story," Platell said.

"It was through a tip-off from Diana's camp that the newspaper I then edited published the first ever pictures of Diana with her then lover, the Muslim heart surgeon Hasnat Khan, after her divorce [from King Charles]," Amanda Platell continued.

Princess Diana was always candid, especially in her 1995 BBC interview, in which she discussed King Charles III's affair with Queen Camilla.
"The Princess was a master media manipulator. So perhaps that's another thing Harry thinks he has inherited from his mother: an ability to control the media narrative," Amanda Platell said, referring to the 1995 television special. "Although, compared to Diana, he is a clumsy amateur."
