The 2025 Emmy nominations left some notable performances off their list.
While Hollywood icons like
Harrison Ford and
Kathy Bates were honored for their excellence in television this season, many other talented entertainers were snubbed by the Academy.

1. Steve Martin for Only Murders in the Building
Despite being a legend in Tinseltown, Steve Martin was not given a nod for his work in Season 4 of Only Murders in the Building in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy category. The funnyman was recognized with nominations for the show in 2022 and 2024.
The Hulu series received eight nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
2. Megan Stalter for Hacks
Star on the rise Megan Stalter has become a fan-favorite for playing Kayla on Hacks. However, the Television Academy failed to give the comedian a nomination for her hilarious Season 4 antics alongside one of the show's creator's Paul W. Downs (Jimmy) — who also did not get a nod for his acting but did get noticed for the show's 14 nominations.
3. Abby Elliot for The Bear
The Bear Season 3 walked away with 13 nominations, but Abby Elliot's heartbreaking work for playing Carmy's supportive sister Natalie "Sugar" Berzatto went unnoticed.
4. Tyler James Williams for Abbott Elementary
Tyler James Williams was snubbed for his role as first-grade teacher Gregory Eddie in Season 4 of Abbott Elementary.
The smash ABC comedy walked away with five nods, with Sheryl Lee Ralph, Janelle James and Quinta Brunson being recognized.
5. Everybody's Live with John Mulaney
Although John Mulaney is typically an awards show darling, his Netflix talk show Everybody's Live with John Mulaney was not included in the Outstanding Talk Series category.
However, the stand-up star will be fine as he already has three golden statues.
6. Lee Jung-jae for Squid Game
The second season of Netflix's Squid Game was totally shut out of the Emmy nominations. Despite a stunning performance, Lee Jung-jae was not given an honor for his work as underdog Gi-hun.
