Nicki Minaj sparks Twitter feud with shoe designer
Shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti has 23 versions of sneakers called "Nicki" on his website, all of which Nicki Minaj claims she inspired. Now, she wants to collaborate on a collection of her own with Giuseppe but she says he won't give her the time of day. "This is wonderful. #GiuseppeZanotti seems to think it's ok to name his sneakers after me but his PR says they won't take our call. Lol," she tweeted on Friday, Feb. 3. "I met #GiuseppeZanotti years ago. At which time, he told me I inspired him to design a sneaker in my honor. Wore them on the cover of Cosmo," she continued in another tweet. "Recently when he gave other artists capsule collections, my agency reached out and was told they're not taking our call. ." The tweets went on from there: "Just go on google, you'll see all the different pairs he's named after me. Lil black girl can inspire u but ain't worth a collection my nā?" she asked. Kanye West sparks more Fashion Week drama
Kanye West is nothing if not tenacious when it comes to Fashion Week. His last Yeezy Fashion Week show began with attendees complaining they felt "kidnapped" en route to the Roosevelt Island venue, got underway with a two-hour wait for showtime and ended with reports of models passing out from heat, exhaustion or stress. Months later, when Kanye suffered a psychiatric breakdown, his friend Fonzworth Bentley said the stress of bad Fashion Week reviews had contributed to Yeezus' hospitalization. Welp, it's February again and while some might suggest Kanye would do well to avoid potential stress inducers like, say, irritating the fashion world, the rapper still seems to have a ticker tape that reads "you do you" running through his head. According to WWD (via Jezebel), Yeezus has scheduled his Yeezy 5 show for Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. That slot has already been assigned to Marchesa. And Steven Kolb, president and chief executive officer of the CFDA, has some thoughts on Kanye's decision to insert himself into the schedule. "Once again, CFDA was not approached or consulted about the possibility of Kanye West showing on the official New York Fashion Week schedule," he told WWD. "As the scheduler of the week, the CFDA works with more than 300 brands to identify appropriate times for them to show their collections and avoid scheduling conflicts. Not going through the proper channels is disruptive to the whole week and unfair to designers who have secured spots through the formal procedure. This bad behavior is not acceptable to the CFDA and should not be tolerated by the industry. Because of this, the CFDA will not list Kanye West on the official schedule. However, the CFDA is more than willing to work with Kanye on with Kanye on securing an available time slot."

Idris Elba gets dating advice from kids
Just when you thought it wasn't possible for Idris Elba to get any hotter ā¦ Pajiba reports the hunky Brit is working with Omaze to raise cash for a program to help provide little girls in Africa with education opportunities and leadership development skills. As part of the campaign, he's raffling off a Valentine's date. Yep, for $10, you could find yourself, as he teases in an adorable new video, popping champagne and indulging in chocolate with Idris. The video itself may be the cherry on top, though. In it, Idris sits around a table with a bunch of little British kids asking them dating advice. "Can someone tell me what happens on a date?" he asks. "You take the girl somewhere nice ā¦ like a girl concert. You pay for everything and you agree with everything she says," offers one little girl. Idris asks what happens if he doesn't like doing that and a little boy tells him, "It doesn't matter about you, it matters about the girl." Says Idris: "I'm writing all this information down because I don't know what to do on my date ā¦ should I dance?" Everyone agrees he should ā including a kid who says she's qualified to help with dating advice because she has 25 boyfriends. Adorable jumping around and disco pointing ensues. We won't spoil the ending but suffice it to say the final few minutes give baby animal videos a run for their money in the cuteness department.

Sarah Silverman reins herself in after encouraging military coup
Over the past week, social media's been filled with posts featuring lists of controversial moves made by the new White House administration. On Thursday, Feb. 3, Sarah Silverman linked to one such list and tweeted, "WAKE UP & JOIN THE RESISTANCE. ONCE THE MILITARY IS W US FASCISTS GET OVERTHROWN. MAD KING & HIS HANDLERS GO BYE BYE ." As the New York Post observed, her tweet came amid news members of an anarchist group turned a peaceful protest against Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos speaking at UC Berkeley into a riot. Angelina Jolie slams Trump's immigration ban in op-ed
"Refugee Policy Should Be Based on Facts, Not Fear." That headline appeared above a New York Times op-ed by Angelina Jolie on Friday, Feb. 3, indicating she's not too consumed by her divorce and custody battle with Brad Pitt to make time for the refugee advocacy work she's focused on in recent years. "As the mother of six children, who were all born in foreign lands and are proud American citizens, I very much want our country to be safe for them, and all our nation's children," writes Angelina, who serves as the special envoy for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. "But I also want to know that refugee children who qualify for asylum will always have a chance to plead their case to a compassionate America. And that we can manage our security without writing off citizens of entire countries ā even babies ā as unsafe to visit our country by virtue of geography or religion." The essay comes on the heels of Donald Trump's controversial ban on travel and immigration to the United States for seven Muslim majority countries, none of whose citizens have been responsible for killing an American on U.S. soil since 1975, according to the CATO Institute.
Robert De Niro on Donald Trump: 'Of course I want to punch him'
Robert De Niro infamously said he wanted to punch Donald Trump in the face during the campaign. When he stopped by "The View" on Friday, Feb. 3, he doubled down on his remark. "How dare he say the things he does?" the actor asked (via GossipCop). "Of course I want to punch him in the face." He went on to explain "it was only a symbolic thing, anyway," adding, "It's not like I was going to find himā¦ but he's got to hear it, how he makes people feel." Comparing the current president with his predecessor, Robert mused, "Obama to me was a great president. He tried to do what was right. When you have people going in there just to win ā it's not about winning. It's about the people." As for Donald Trump? "Now's the time to see what he's going to do," Robert said, "but it doesn't look good."
