At the posh gathering, King Charles III was introduced to a prize-winning heritage cow named Poppy from a farm in Sussex. As the monarch approached the animal, she knocked over a small table and stomped into a hedge. Poppy then gave Charles a laugh when she began to urinate on the pathway as the royal gave his speech.

Poppy's handler,
Leighton Snelgrove, apologized to King Charles III for the cow-related chaos. "Sorry about your garden,"
he said, prompting the monarch to reply with a laugh, "Don't push her back into my boxed hedge."

After the awkward moment, Leighton Snelgrove praised King Charles III for his agriculture advocacy. "Poppy was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed [the event], and it was great to talk to [Charles] about farming. I said, 'Thank you for everything you do for young farmers.' The king has been a huge support and enthusiasm to young farmers," Snelgrove said following his meeting with the monarch. Touching on Poppy's mishap, Snelgrove added, "I didn't want footprints over his lawn. He said, 'It's fine, don't worry about it.' He's an inspiration to younger generations."
