his new book,
The Royal Butler: My Remarkable Life of Royal Service, that Kate Middleton and
Prince Harry had their own friendship outside of their relationships with
Prince William. "[Will and Kate] involved [Harry]. He used to go out with Kate. William would be away and Kate and Harry would be off doing stuff together," he said, adding that Harry and Kate would "go shopping" and "go to pubs" together. Spare, he recalled Kate and Meghan getting into an argument over the way
Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress fit four days before the wedding. He recalled "Kate texting Meghan that 'Charlotte's dress is too big, too long, too baggy'" and "she cried when she tried it on at home." According to Harry, Meghan replied, "Right, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8 a.m. here at Kensington Palace. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?"
