Daily Mail, after Meghan Markle and Thomas Markle's falling out ahead of her 2018 wedding to
Prince Harry, King Charles III allegedly "berated" the couple to try to make amends with the former lighting director to stop him from speaking with the press.

Before Meghan Markle said, "I do," Thomas Markle ended their relationship by airing out their dirty laundry. In one sit-down with Daily Mail, he threatened to "unload" on the royal family.

With Thomas Markle out of the picture, Meghan Markle asked King Charles III to support her on one of the biggest days of her life. "[Prince] Harry's dad is very charming. I said to him, like, 'I've lost my dad in this.' So, he, as my father-in-law, was really important to me," the Duchess of Sussex recalled in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan. "I asked him to walk me down the aisle, and he said yes. The whole thing was surreal."

Prince Harry and King Charles III were estranged after the
Spare author and Meghan Markle left The Firm in 2020.
However, the father-son duo met up in England to try to mend their relationship.
