It was rumored that

Princess Eugenie and
Princess Beatrice with stripping away their titles if they didn't push Prince Andrew and
Sarah Ferguson to vacate the Royal Lodge.

Prince Andrew's ties to Jeffrey Epstein continue to bring negative attention to the monarchy.
"Unless Andrew can be persuaded to banish himself to a cottage on the Balmoral estate or a cushy villa on a Dubai golf course, his scowly, jowly visage will keep seeping back into the national consciousness," royal expert Tina Brown wrote in a Substack post.

King Charles III recently stripped his brother of all of his titles — and he must move out of the Royal Lodge.
"His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew," the palace said in the statement. "Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor."
"His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him," the palace stated. "Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."
