Prince William's friend said that the Prince of Wales won't get in the way of a potential reconciliation between Prince Harry and King Charles III, regardless of his personal opinion on the matter. "Ultimately, William is a loyal soldier," the source said. "He respects his father's rank, and he respects his father's right to make his own decisions, and he won't make a fuss if it happens."

According to the Prince William source, the Prince of Wales sees the situation with Prince Harry through the lens of their father King Charles III's relationship with his own brother, Prince Andrew. "William always said, 'Just cut Andrew off completely. It's not appropriate to have an alleged s** offender breaking bread with the royal family.' Charles was so desperate to be seen as embodying the spirit of Christian forgiveness that he let Andrew back in," the source said, adding that "William was right about Andrew, and he is right about Harry."
