Bahamas-bound! With the busy holiday season behind them, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson were spotted hopping on a private plane together on Jan. 4. According to the Daily Mail, the lovebirds were headed to the Bahamas. The couple had been somewhat inseparable since they were first linked romantically over Halloween weekend. But Kim reportedly spent Christmas and New Year's with her family in Los Angeles, while Pete stuck to the East Coast, presumably visiting with his own family in New York City before hosting. New Year's special with Miley Cyrus in Miami. While Kim's ex, Kanye West, was in Miami over New Year's as well, he seemed to be busy enjoying the company of his own rumored new love interest, model Julia Fox.

Tristan Thompson reportedly brought roses to True before apologizing to Khloe
Shortly before Tristan Thompson publicly apologized to Khoe Kardashian for fathering a son with another woman while he and Khloe were still together, he brought their daughter, True, "close to 100 roses," according to TMZ. On Jan. 3, the outlet reported Tristan scooped up True, 3, from gymnastics class "about an hour" before acknowledging on Instagram that Maralee Nichols' child is, in fact, his, and that he remains "so incredibly sorry" to Khloe for his betrayal. Video published by the outlet shows the Sacramento Kings player standing by a black SUV outside the gymnastics venue. Per TMZ's report, he was waiting for the flowers he'd had delivered to True to be brought out to the car. Tristan's apology came as a paternity test showed he's father of Maralee's child, as she'd been claiming in her legal battle with him. "Now that paternity has been established, I look forward to amicably raising our son," he said on social media, in part. (You can read the entire message and messy backstory here.) Tristan went on to address Khloe, writing: "You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions have certainly not lined up with the way I view you." The two reportedly split in May 2020.
Ryan Gosling makes rare comment about family life with Eva Mendes
Ryan Gosling isn't convinced his daughters with Eva Mendes completely get what their parents do for a living. He is, however, sure Eva is the Cool Parent when it comes to household movie star status. In a rare comment about his family, Ryan tells British GQ 7-year-old Esmeralda and 5-year-old Amada have a history of confusing their parents' real-life jobs as actors with the more exciting stories their characters live out onscreen. This apparently led Esmeralda to once yell "You're winning!" at Ryan when she was watching him shoot a fight scene with Harrison Ford for "Blade Runner 2049," Ryan recalls. He adds the girls also thought he worked on the moon when he was filming "First Man." By now, he jokes, "I think they finally figured it out… that my name is actually 'The Gray Man' and I'm an assassin for the CIA." Still, he says mom probably reigns supreme because she starred in a 1999 movie about a kid turning into a pig, which they watched during lockdown. "'My Brother The Pig' was a big hit," Ryan says. "I highly recommend it, by the way. Eva's amazing in it."

Prince Charles praises Prince Harry in climate essay amid family rift
In a new essay for Newsweek, Prince Charles praises both Prince William and Prince Harry in a seeming step forward for the Prince of Wales' relationship with his younger son. Titled (somewhat ironically), "Our Children Are Judging Us On Climate Change," the piece sees Charles acknowledge the work both William and Harry are doing to protect future generations by slowing the climate change. "As a father, I am proud that my sons have recognized this threat," Charles writes. "Most recently, my elder son, William, launched the prestigious Earthshot Prize to incentivize change and help repair our planet over the next ten years by identifying and investing in the technologies that can make a difference. And my younger son, Harry, has passionately highlighted the impact of climate change, especially in relation to Africa, and committed his charity to being net zero," he adds, referencing Harry's Archewell Foundation goal of becoming "net zero" by 2030. Tensions between Harry, his father and his brother have continued since the Duke of Cambridge left his royal position with wife Meghan Markle and relocated to California. But Charles is said to be especially disheartened by the rift between his sons. It remains to be seen how much his recent praise of Harry reflects real change in the family's personal relationships.
Here's how Betty White's hometown will honor her upcoming birthday
Betty White would have turned 100 on Jan. 17, and while the occasion will be bittersweet for her fans and loved ones in the wake of her death, the TV icon will still get a special celebration, courtesy of her hometown. Betty, who died at age 99 on New Year's Eve, grew up in California, but she was born in Oak Park, Illinois, and maintained ties to the neighborhood there. In honor of that connection, Oak Park Village President Vicki Scaman tells TMZ Jan. 17 has been officially proclaimed Betty White Day and the first town-wide celebration of the holiday will take place in a couple of weeks. According to TMZ, plans include decorating the walls of downtown Oak Park with cutouts of Betty, while a mural contest will offer artists a chance to create a Betty-inspired design that will memorialize the actress. Local small business owners are also planning to offer "Betty White specials" including a hot dog, fries and Diet Coke meal at Mickey's Restaurant — it was apparently a favorite combo for the late star — and local bakery Turano has vowed to bake a huge cake in Betty's honor. Betty White Day is intended to become an annual affair, according to TMZ.

Gal Gadot admits her celeb-stuffed 'Imagine' sing-along was 'in poor taste'
Gal Gadot says she gets it. And by "it," we mean the reason her well-meaning, if cringe-inducing viral video of wealthy famous folks crooning "Imagine," sing-along-style, at the outset of the coronavirus pandemic was less than well received. Asked about the early 2020 video during an interview with InStyle, Gal says it was "in poor taste." She also explains why she opted for self-effacing humor when she was honored at the Elle Women in Hollywood awards, where she jokingly used her acceptance speech platform to start singing, "Imagine." Reminded of the moment, she tells InStyle, "Yeah. Might as well. They had a mic there," before elaborating. "It just felt right, and I don't take myself too seriously," she explains. "And with the whole 'Imagine' controversy, it's funny. I was calling Kristen [Wiig] and I was like, 'Listen, I want to do this thing.' The pandemic was in Europe and Israel before it came here [to the U.S.] in the same way," the Israeli-raised star continues. "I was seeing where everything was headed. But [the video] was premature. It wasn't the right timing, and it wasn't the right thing. It was in poor taste. All pure intentions, but sometimes you don't hit the bull's-eye, right?" As for the jokey awards rehash? "I felt like I wanted to take the air out of it," Gal says, "so that was a delightful opportunity to do that."
No celebrities expected at 2022 Golden Globes: Reports
As of Jan. 4, the 2022 Golden Globes are somehow still on for Sunday, Jan. 9 — with no celebrity presenters, nominees or winners. In fact, according to Variety, "no celebs have agreed to take part" in any way as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association continues to grapple with fallout from last year's revelations about the group's deep-seeded diversity and ethics problems, which at the time included the fact the voting organization behind the awards ceremony had zero Black members. NBC has since refused to broadcast the event until the HFPA has proven its commitment to being more inclusive in tangible ways. And this year, when Snoop Dogg confused fans as a surprise announcer to reveal the Globes' nominees for 2022, the announcement was pretty much met with crickets from the nominees on social media. According to Variety, a talent booker for the Globes recently emailed public relations execs in the hopes of getting some celeb participation. The apparently unsuccessful email reportedly cites how this year's "small event … will not only award the best performances in television and film for 2021, but also on recognizing the importance of supporting diverse creatives across the industry." It goes on to say: "The event this year will celebrate and honor a variety of diverse, community-based programs that empower inclusive filmmakers and journalists to pursue their storytelling passions. The HFPA has financially supported important underserved organizations for decades and will continue to invest in the future leaders of our industry." Sources tell Deadline it's unclear whether it will be livestreamed.
Lawsuit filed against Nirvana by 'Nevermind' cover star dismissed
A long-waged court battle against the iconic '90s rock band Nirvana is coming to an end after a judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by the now-grown cover star of the band's "Nevermind" album artwork. The album cover features a 4-month-old baby in a swimming pool. The baby, Spencer Elden, is not wearing anything in the water as he appears to grab for a dollar bill that was edited into the picture. Now 30, Spencer filed suit against the band claiming the image made him look like a "sex worker," and accusing the late Kurt Cobain and his bandmates Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, among others, of "child pornography" for their use of Spencer's image. NBC News reports a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California dismissed the suit on Jan. 3.
