The tale as old as time will be told yet again when the live-action remake of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" debuts in theaters on March 17, 2017. Emma Watson made her acting debut in 2001's "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." In the years since she last portrayed Hermione Granger in 2011's "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," the British beauty has appeared in "My Week with Marilyn," "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," "The Bling Ring" and "Noah." She also graduated from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in English literature and became a UN Women's Goodwill Ambassador. (She launched their HeForShe campaign for gender equality in 2014.) The actress-philanthropist, who's reportedly sharing an off-the-radar romance with tech entrepreneur William "Mack" Knight, has dated a number of average Joes over the years.

Josh Gad scored his first big break when he portrayed Miles in 2008's "21." Since then, he's appeared in "The Rocker," "Love & Other Drugs," "Thanks for Sharing," "Jobs," "The Internship," "Wish I Was Here," "The Wedding Ringer" and "Pixels." He's also the voice of Olaf in "Frozen" and voiced characters in "The Angry Birds" movie and "A Dog's Purpose." The multi-talented funnyman created and executive produced the short-lived NBC sitcom "1600 Penn" and originated the role of Elder Cunningham in the Broadway musical "The Book of Mormon." Josh has two daughters, Isabella and Ava, with his wife, actress Ida Darvish.
Kevin Kline stars as the eccentric inventor Maurice, Belle's father.
Kevin Kline has been acting since he was a child. Though he made his TV debut in 1951, it wasn't until 1982 that he appeared in his first film, "Sophie's Choice," for which he earned a Golden Globe nomination. The accomplished stage actor, who studied at Juilliard, has earned four more Golden Globe nominations since then and won the Oscar for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 1989 for his work in "A Fish Called Wanda." Most recently, he voiced Mr. Fischoeder on "Bob's Burgers" and starred in the independent film "Dean," which is due in theaters in mid-2017. Kevin, who earned the nickname Kevin Decline for his picky nature when it comes to roles, has been married to actress Phoebe Cates for nearly three decades. They have a son, Owen, and a daughter, Greta.
Ewan McGregor stars as Lumière, one of the Beast's servants who's been transformed into a candelabra.
Ewan McGregor made his feature film debut in 1994's "Being Human." Since then, he's appeared in "Trainspotting," "Moulin Rouge!," "Black Hawk Dawn," "Big Fish" and countless other films. He also portrayed Obi-Wan Kenobi in episodes one through three of the "Star Wars" franchise and earned an Emmy nomination for his performance on a 1997 episode of "ER." The Scottish star made his feature film directorial debut with 2016's "American Pastoral" and is set to star on the upcoming third season of FX's "Fargo." He and his wife of more than two decades, former production designer Eve Mavrakis, share four daughters: biological daughters Esther and Clara (a model-actress-photographer) and adopted daughters Jamiyan and Anouk.

Ian McKellen made his acting debut back in 1964. He earned his first Oscar nomination in 1999 for his performance in "Gods and Monsters" and his second in 2002 for his work as Gandalf in "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring." The English actor has earned five Emmy nominations over the years, most recently in 2010 for his performance on "The Prisoner," and has also enjoyed an accomplished career in the theater, particular on London's West End. The gay rights activist, who's starred as Magneto in the "X-Men" franchise since 2000, recently starred on ITV's series "Vicious" and on Starz's made-for-TV movie "The Dresser."
Emma Thompson stars as Mrs. Potts, the Beast's housemaid who's been transformed into a teapot.
Emma Thompson started acting during the early '80s. She took home Academy Awards in 1993 for her work as an actress in "Howards End" and in 1996 for writing the film adaptation of "Sense and Sensibility." (She also earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in the film.) The English actress won an Emmy in 1998 for portraying a version of herself on an episode of "Ellen" and has earned five more nominations over the years. Her screenwriting credits include 2005's "Nanny McPhee" and its 2010 sequel (she starred in both films) and 2016's "Bridget Jones's Baby," in which she also appeared. Emma was married to actor-director Kenneth Branagh, with whom she frequently collaborated, until he had an affair with her "Howards End" co-star Helena Bonham Carter. She eventually moved on with her "Sense and Sensibility" co-star Greg Wise. They've now been together for more than two decades and share two children: biological daughter Gaia and adopted son Tindyebwa Agaba, a Rwandan orphan and former child soldier.
Audra McDonald stars as Madame de Garderobe, one of the Beast's servants who's been transformed into a wardrobe.
Broadway star Audra McDonald, who's won more Tony Awards than any other actor, made her Hollywood debut back in 1996. The erstwhile Dr. Naomi Bennett — she starred on "Private Practice" from 2007 to 2013 — has earned three Emmy nominations for her work as an actress: in 2001 for "Wit," in 2008 for "A Raisin in the Sun" and in 2016 for "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill." She also appeared on 2013's "The Sound of Music Live!" and in 2015's "Ricki and the Flash." The singer-actress has released several albums over the years and even won two Grammys. She has a daughter, Zoe, with her first husband, bassist Peter Donovan, and another daughter, Sally, with her second and current husband, Broadway star Will Swenson.
Stanley Tucci stars as Madame de Garderobe's husband, Maestro Cadenza, one of the Beast's servants who's been transformed into a harpsichord. (He is an original character created for the 2017 live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast.")
Stanley Tucci made his feature film debut in 1985. Since then, he's appeared in "The Hunger Games," "Maid in Manhattan," "The Terminal" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," among countless other films. Stanley earned an Oscar nomination in 2010 for his performance in "The Lovely Bones" and has won three Emmys over the years: for his work as an actor on "Winchell" and "Monk" and for producing "Park Bench with Steve Buscemi." The multi-hyphenate, who's also written and directed several films, had three children with his first wife, Kate, who died in 2009 after a battle with breast cancer. In 2012, he wed Felicity Blunt — the sister of his "The Devil Wears Prada" co-star Emily Blunt. They welcomed a son, Matteo, in January 2015.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw stars as Plumette, Lumière's love and the Beast's maid, who's been transformed into a feather duster.
