While chatting with Jimmy Fallon, Pete Davidson admitted he never thought he would end up in a terrifying situation."Obviously, I read the script and was like, 'That won't be my eye. This is the movies! It'll be a CGI eye,'" The King of Staten Island star recalled. "If you can bring people back from the dead and put them in a movie, then that's not my eye."
However, when Davidson arrived on set, there were three doctors on standby, and Director James DeMonaco told him his "very recognizable eyes" needed to be the ones featured on screen.
"I said, 'Even if that is me, no one's sitting there being like, 'That's Pete's eye,'" the 31-year-old said. "No way."

When the moment came to shoot the scene for The Home, Pete Davidson was strapped down with his eyelids pried open and a needle mere inches away from his retina."I heard, in the corner, one of the doctors went to the director and goes, 'Yeah, in about 30 more seconds there's going to be some real damage,'" the stand-up star noted. "So, I take the thing off. I'm like squirting it with water and stuff. I'm like, 'What the h*** just happened?' Yeah, it didn't have to be your eye!"
