Following Rogan's shocking remark, Republicans on social media began to latch onto the theory. "What are the chances @CNN was tipped off to stream the Butler rally?" financer Bill Ackman wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Why isn't this worthy of an investigation? It shouldn't be too hard to figure out who orders the coverage and why?" he continued to speculate.

In a since-deleted social media update, journalist Joe Concha alleged, "This is 100% correct. I was about to go on the air to co-host The Big Weekend Show and noticed this on my way in. CNN never airs Trump rallies anymore (they aired plenty in 2015-2016 for ratings). The question is — why this one?"
Elsewhere in Rogan and Musk's conversation, the comedian asked why people stopped asking questions after Trump was nearly killed by Thomas Matthew Crooks — who was later shot by police.

"There was never a formal report," Rogan claimed. "There was never press conferences where they detailed all the information we know currently and where the investigation stands at the moment."

"I was saved by God to make America great again," he told the country about the near-death experience. "The journey to reclaim our republic has not been an easy one. Those who wish to stop our cause have tried to take our freedom and indeed, to take my life."
"Many people thought it was impossible for me to stage such a historic political comeback, but as you see today, here I am," Trump said. "The American people have spoken."
