ICE Director Says Biden Administration 'Cooked the Books' on Arrests

ICE Director Todd Lyons recently threw Joe Biden and his administration under the bus while discussing the changes Donald Trump has implemented in his efforts to curb illegal immigration.

According to Todd Lyons, Joe Biden's team wasn't sharing a full picture of the data surrounding ICE detainees.
"They were purposely misleading the American people by categorizing individuals processed and released into the interior of the United States as ICE arrests," Lyons said, according to Fox News.

Todd Lyons revealed there was an investigation into the mistakes that were made during Joe Biden's presidency.
"A comprehensive review was done internally here with ICE. We found tens of thousands of cases that were recorded as arrests when, in fact, these instances were illegal aliens that were simply processed and released into the American communities," Lyons said.

"What we are doing now is actual immigration enforcement, not enforcement theater," an official told Fox News Digital.

On March 9, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem released a statement addressing Todd Lyons' appointment as the new director of ICE "to reinstitute a culture of results and accountability after four years of agency decay under the Biden Administration."

"For the past four years, our brave men and women of ICE were barred from doing their jobs — ICE needs a culture of accountability that it has been starved of under the Biden Administration," she said. "With President Trump's support, I am appointing new ICE leadership to deliver results that President Trump and the American people rightfully demand: Todd Lyons will serve as Acting ICE Director and Madison Sheahan as Deputy Director of ICE. Todd Lyons and Madison Sheahan are work horses, strong executors, and accountable leaders who will lead the men and women of ICE to achieve the American people's mandate to target, arrest and deport illegal aliens."

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has been documenting mass deportations on X and often gives updates on Donald Trump's immigration policies.
"We slashed border encounters from a staggering 15,000 a day under Joe Biden to a 15-year low of just 200 under @realDonaldTrump," she claimed.
"We are unleashing the Border Patrol, ICE, and our entire DHS Team to secure our border and send illegal aliens back to where they came from," she added.
