Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that Joe Biden's clemency grants and protections will no longer be recognized.
"The 'Pardons' that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen," Trump wrote on Sunday, March 16.

Kaitlan Collins asked Donald Trump's press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, if the president had any "evidence" to prove his claims.
"You're a reporter, you should find out," Leavitt fired back.

Karoline Leavitt explained Donald Trump's logic, as there are questions over whether or not the executive branch can control pardons granted by a previous president.
"[Trump] was raising the point, 'Did [Biden] even know about these pardons? Was his legal signature used without his consent or knowledge?'" Leavitt said.
"The president was begging the question that I think a lot of journalists in this room should be asking," she added,

Karoline Leavitt later urged the American people to ask about Joe Biden's ability to sign off on pardons.
"I think it's a question that everybody in this room should be looking into, because certainly that would propose perhaps criminal or illegal behavior if staff members were signing the president of the United States' autograph without his consent," Leavitt said.

In his Truth Social post, Donald Trump claimed Joe Biden didn't understand the documents he was signing.
"The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime," Trump wrote.

Donald Trump later threatened individuals who were involved in investigating the January 6 insurrection and his election fraud claims.
"Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their two year Witch Hunt of me, and many other innocent people, should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level," Trump said.
