On Thursday, May 15, James Comey took to Instagram to share a now-deleted photo of seashells arranged in a "8647" formation.Although the picture may have seemed innocent, members of Donald Trump's administration raised alarm bells because "86" is oftentimes used to get rid of something or ejecting someone. The numeral "47" refers to the Republican leader being the 47th president of America.
"Cool shell formation on my beach walk," Comey — who worked for Trump during his first term before he was fired — captioned the post.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed the FBI was looking into the situation."Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey just called for the assassination of @POTUS Trump," Donald Trump's staffer alleged on X. "DHS and Secret Service is investigating this threat and will respond appropriately."
Kash Patel, the current FBI Director, commented on the ongoing matter, explaining on X, "Primary jurisdiction is with SS on these matters and we, the FBI, will provide all necessary support."

James Comey stanchly defended himself from the accusation he threatened Donald Trump."I didn't realize some folks associate it with violence. That didn't occur to me when I saw it but I am opposed to violence in all circumstances so I took it down," the attorney explained in a statement shared to Instagram.
