Donald Trump lies.

During Elon Musk and Donald Trump's final press conference on Friday, May 30, the president told journalists he "didn't notice" the tech tycoon's visible black eye. However, after
his former "first buddy" attacked him on X on June 5, Trump revealed that he discussed the injury with Musk before their televised gathering.
"Remember, he was here for a long time," Trump shared in an Oval Office press conference. "You saw a man who was very happy when he stood behind the Oval desk, and even with a black eye."
"I said, 'Do you want makeup? We will get you makeup.' But he said, 'No, I don't think so,' which is interesting. And very nice. He wants to be who he is so he could make that statement," Trump continued.

Donald Trump brought Elon Musk into the political fold to lead DOGE, but after he left his position, he revealed that he thinks the president's Big Beautiful Bill will be catastrophic for the nation.
"Elon and I had a great relationship. I don't know if we will anymore," Trump told journalists, adding that he was "surprised."
"Everybody in this room practically was here as we had a wonderful send-off. He said wonderful things about me," the president continued. "He has worn the hat [saying] 'Trump was right about everything.' And I'm right about the great Big Beautiful Bill."

American Diplomat Ned Price took to X to point out the discrepancies in Donald Trump's comments about Elon Musk.
"When a reporter asked Elon about his black eye in the Oval last week, Trump said he hadn't noticed it,"
Price shared on Thursday, June 5.
"Now he's claiming to have even offered him concealer," Price added. "Not an important detail, obviously, but the way in which the American President so casually [and] endlessly lies obviously is".

During his final press conference with Donald Trump, Elon Musk said his son X left a mark on his face when the two were "horsing around."
"I said, 'Go ahead, punch me in the face.' And he did," Musk shared.
"I didn't really feel much at the time and then, I guess, it bruises up," he added.
