Steve Bannon's "Bannon's War Room" podcast, Carlson launched a scathing attack on his former employer Fox News over their newfound support of
Mark Levin.

During the conversation between Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon, the pair discussed Fox News personalities Mark Levin and Sean Hannity. The Tucker Carlson Tonight alum accused the duo of wanting the United States to enter the war to help Israel fight Iran. The media figure also criticized his former employer for propping up the Life, Liberty & Levin star.
"Well, Levin's the funniest because he's terrible on TV and again, I never had any problems with him at Fox. He kind of controls Hannity in this weird way. I never understood what that was about. I never really cared to learn," Carlson told Donald Trump's former political advisor.
"Sean was great to me, always nice and so was Levin. So, I just like kind of stayed away. But they didn't want to put him on TV because he was like screechy and he's just not a calming presence. 'Mark Levin on TV!'" the 56-year-old continued. "Unless you're literally floating in and out of consciousness and the attendant has taken the remote to go have a cigarette, you're going to flip the channel. When Mark Levin gets on TV, it's like listening to your ex-wife scream about alimony payments. It's like not appealing. So, they wouldn't put him on TV. And then Sean pushed and they gave him some kind of weekend show that nobody watched."
To finish off his rant, Carlson said of the company that used to pay his bills, "Now I don't have a TV, but someone who owns a TV was just telling me that he's all over prime time. So, what is that? That's not by popular acclaim. That's like their viewer surveys. Like, you know, we need a lot more Mark Levin. Less Jesse Watters, more Mark Levin."
"What they're doing is what they always do, which is just turning up the propaganda hose to full blast and just trying to knock elderly Fox viewers off their feet and make them submit to where you want them to," he added.

The ex-staffer of the right-wing network and The Mark Levin Show host have faced off on many political issues, such as foreign policy and trade. However, the two have also resorted to name-calling online.
"Hey, thug. I never said to the President that American forces should bomb Iran," Levin wrote in a Friday, June 13, post shared to X in response to Carlson claiming he wants America to join the war against Iran. "The leaker who is feeding you is a liar. As are you. So why do you keep lying and smearing people? Now, Sean and others. You're a reckless and deceitful propagandist and that's the best I can say. You promote antisemitism and conspiracy nuts. You slobber all over some of the most evil people on earth."

In April 2023, Fox News fired Tucker Carlson and canceled his show Tucker Carlson Tonight after years of being a mainstay at the company.
While the network never confirmed why they let the controversial journalist go, the move came shortly after the network's $787.5 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems. The lawsuit claimed Fox shows broadcasted false statements that the company's voting machines were rigged to steal the 2020 United States presidential election from Donald Trump.
