Selena Gomez, The Weeknd's 'flirty relationship' is still going strong
It may be too early to predict what the future holds for Selena Gomez and The Weeknd, whose rumored romance came to light after the two were spotted making out following a dinner date last month. But the pop stars seem to be having a good time as things continue to heat up between them. "He really likes her," an insider tells E! News. "They text every day. They have a really sexy and flirty relationship. They laugh and like each other's personalities." The source adds that the singers "are just having fun and enjoying each other" for now. "Selena was focusing on getting herself back together and The Weeknd was just getting out of a relationship, plus putting out his new album," says a source. "He thinks she is extremely talented and sexy. They are taking things slow and getting to know each other." If there's been a dearth of Selena-and-The-Weeknd PDA moments since December, it could be related to reports The Weeknd and Selena's exes, Bella Hadid and Justin Bieber, purportedly think Selena's "using" the Canadian singer for a new project. Selena's friendship with Bella, who split from The Weeknd shortly before Selena was photographed kissing him, probably isn't making the situation less complicated …

Jennifer Lopez seeks permanent restraining order against alleged stalker
Lawyers for Jennifer Lopez are planning to escalate a request for a permanent restraining order for a man exhibiting stalker behavior after the initial request was dismissed this week by a judge. TMZ reports the dismissal stemmed from the fact J.Lo's security team didn't show up in court to handle the plea against Tim McLanahan, having decided they wouldn't be able to serve him papers without knowing where he was. He has reportedly followed the singer between states, appeared at her house in Los Angeles and sent her "unwanted gifts" in the past.
Did the Clooneys splurge on a $1M nursery?
Rumors Amal Clooney is expecting twins with George Clooney haven't been confirmed, but that hasn't stopped the buzz about the couple's alleged babies-to-be from growing louder. The latest riff on reports the pair are expecting a son and a daughter centers around the reportedly luxurious future nursery — sorry, wing — the little ones will supposedly occupy in the Clooneys' UK home. Featuring a "nursery, a baby spa, a playroom, a children's library and a mini swimming pool," the million-dollar digs have reportedly been outfitted with "a changing table, a $10,000 Notte Fatata crib and a $19,000 armoire from one of the top baby boutiques in Beverly Hills," InTouch quotes a source as saying. "They're calling it a 'sanctuary,'" says the insider.
Kylie Jenner settles with makeup artist
What's more valuable than a slice of Kylie Jenner's bank account? A share of her social media power, apparently. Following a legal dustup between Kylie and makeup artist Vlada Haggerty — who accused Kylie Cosmetics of "taking Haggerty's original dripping lip art and passing it off as Kylie's" multiple times — Vlada and Kylie have settled. According to TMZ, that settlement explains why Kylie's suddenly started promoting Vlada's work to the 84 million followers devoted to Kylie's social media accounts.
Arnold Schwarzenegger meets the Pope
Pope Francis has a new book on his reading list, thanks to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Ah-nie and his girlfriend, Heather Milligan met the Pope this week in Vatican City after one of his sermons and after shaking the pontiff's hand, the actor and former California Governor presented the Pope with the book, "California: This Golden Land of Promise," which tells the history of the state. The new "Apprentice" star has defended his religious devotion in the past, announcing when he was still governor that he wouldn't let the Catholic church's opinion on matters like stem cell research cloud his judgment in politics. "I am a Catholic and a very dedicated Catholic," he said at the time , according to the Daily Mail, "but that does not interfere with my decision-making because I know that stem-cell research, the way we are doing it in California … is the right way to go and will save, very quickly down the line, lives and cure a lot of these illnesses."
Ellen DeGeneres cracks a Kellyanne Conway joke
Leave it to Ellen Degeneres to find a silver lining … In a week where the news has so far included Kellyanne Conway's "alternative facts" controversy and the announcement of the 2017 Oscar nominations, Ellen grinned as she delivered this perhaps inevitable joke on her show Wednesday, Jan. 25: "Every year there are more snubs and people are like, 'Oh no, movies should of been nominated and they weren't," said Ellen, whose voice starred in the animated film, "Finding Dory. "Unfortunately, 'Finding Dory' did not get nominated," she continued (via GossipCop). "According to alternative facts … it did." Insert winky Emoji.
New sex scandal hits the Duggars
Josh Duggar isn't the only person with sexual assault in his past connected to the family. Tabitha Paine, the live-in tutor who teaches Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's kids, is engaged to a man who was convicted for having nonconsensual sex with a woman in 2000, according to InTouch. He pled guilty. After receiving a three-year suspended sentence, paying a $943 restitution and completing a year of probation, he was pardoned. His mother described the assault has having been alcohol related. "That is something that happened in my past," said Timothy, who maintained he had been "falsely accused" despite having pled guilty to the crime. "[My past] has been cleaned," he said. "I love my fiancée. And I think the Duggars are a fabulous family. That's all I need to put out there." Jim Bob and Michelle recently threw an engagement party for Tabitha and Timothy.
Tim Daly breaks his legs skiing at Sundance
Ouch! "Madam Secretary" actor Tim Daly probably won't make it to many more Sundance Film Festival red carpets or parties this year. Tim, who plays the onscreen husband of his real-life girlfriend Tea Leoni, broke a knee and an ankle during a skiing accident while he was in Park City, Utah, this week, according to E! News. "HUMANS!!! Broke my right ankle and left knee skiing. Simultaneously! How's that for talent?" he tweeted, adding, "I'm all good." The injuries won't interfere with the show's production, the website reports.
