Is Mary-Kate Olsen ready to commit to a lifetime of cricked necks with her vertically mismatched boyfriend, Olivier Sarkozy? Page Six says the pint-sized fashion mogul, 27, has recently been spied checking out engagement rings in Los Angeles, sparking talk that she's contemplating marriage to the 44-year-old divorced father of two.
"Mary-Kate has been seen several times in the last three weeks checking out huge engagement rings at the Neil Lane store," tattles a source. "She really likes cushion-cut diamonds, and all of the rings she has looked at are over 5 carats. She has narrowed it down, but still hasn't made a final decision."
MK was particularly drawn to platinum settings, says another source, who adds that most of the sparklers were $100,000 and over.
"I don't think price was an issue," understates the spy.
Sarkozy, whose age and height set off a collective "huh" when he began dating Olsen in early 2012, did not join her on any of the bauble-scouting missions.
This isn't the first time engagement rumors have surfaced for the unalike lovebirds, who have made their affection clear with frequent courtsidenuzzling sessions while cheering on the New York Knicks.
Back in January, Mary-Kate raised eyebrows when she checked out the wares at a Parisian jewelry store with her French businessman beau in tow. Two months later, her rep denied that a gold band on her all-important finger meant a betrothal.
Mary-Kate, who has reportedly been cohabiting with Sarkozy in a $6 million New York apartment, isn't bothered by the talk of their differences.
"Everyone has an opinion," Mary-Kate shrugged to the Wall Street Journal of her romance with Sarkozy, who's the half-brother of former French president Nicholas Sarkozy. "I find it's better to focus on what's in front of you and to keep putting one foot in front of the other."
