Sorry, In Touch, but Jennifer Aniston's "baby dreams" are still not "shattered." A headline to the contrary this week coincided with a "Today" interview on which the actress expressed, for the umpteenth time, her frustration over the public's obsession with the status of her left ring finger and womb.
Recalling that Aniston recently discussed the issue of women's worth, marriage and childbearing with iconic feminist writer Gloria Steinem, Carson Daly asked Aniston to elaborate on her comment that our culture judges a woman by " "whether or not you've procreated."
"I'd talked to her personally about this for awhile, just because it is such an issue of, like, 'Are you married yet? Are you going to have your babies yet?' It's just constant. It's like, I don't know!" said the "Life of Crime" star (via E!). "I don't have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done, and if they're not checked, then I've failed some part of my feminism or my value as a woman because I haven't birthed a child. I've birthed a lot of things and feel like I've mothered many things, and I don't think it's fair to put that pressure on people."
When Daly asked Aniston what she thought made people so interested in her personal life -- evidenced these days by stories about her fiance, Justni Theroux -- Aniston was at a loss. "If you have an answer to that, please let me know," she said. " don't know! I don't know."
