Nicki Minaj's Hot 97 Beef Ends in Tough Talk and a Free Show
When Hot 97 D.J. Peter Rosenberg called Nicki Minaj's "Starships" track b.s. that's not real hip-hop, Nicki promptly canceled her scheduled performance in the New York radio station's Summer Jam event. An industry-wide, mostly-on-Twitter beef ensued, with hip-hoppers young and old taking sides. But Nicki kinda put the kibosh on the endless opining when she tweeted, "There isn't a bitch alive — and when I say bitch I'm including men, because when they act like that they're bitches — there isn't a human being alive, that God has created on this planet earth, that could scare me out of doing a show. I get money. I get money." We would have just stood outside Rosenberg's house singing the lyrics to Nicki's "I am Your Leader," which we can't print here. Instead, she also promised to make up the axed show to her fans with a free concert this summer. (Vulture)
