Kris Kross rapper Chris Kelly dies
Sad news this morning. Chris Kelly, better known as "Mac Daddy" of '90s rap duo Kris Kross, died Wednesday afternoon. The 34 year old was found unresponsive in his Atlanta area home, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Kelly's death is being investigated as a drug overdose, as the rapper had reportedly been using a combination of cocaine and heroin the night before his death, but an official cause of death has yet to be determined. Kelly and his Kris Kross bandmate, Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith, rose to fame in 1992 with the hit song "Jump" and their unique backwards clothing. In February, they reunited for So So Def Records' 20th anniversary show.
